gorgeous Thanksgiving poinsettias

Up until this year I’d never heard of Thanksgiving Poinsettias, but I’ve come to learn that it’s a thing, and I just love how they bring that indescribable autumn feeling to the table.

The variety at the center of the table is fittingly called “Autumn Leaves” and is now available at Armstrong Garden Centers along with two other beautiful Thanksgiving Poinsettia varieties called Golden Glo and Orange Glo.

I placed three pots of “Autumn Leaves” in one of my favorite wicker baskets and it turned out to be such a lovely centerpiece for this table that you can see is all decked out with Thanksgiving touches.

In this photo, above, you can see all three varieties in one basket for a gorgeous ombre effect.

One of the prettiest things about the fall season are the gorgeous autumn leaves that appear at this time of year, so why not have that look right at your Thanksgiving table?

Vintage ceramic turkeys, mini pumpkins and pretty votives are the perfect accents for these autumn flowers.

If you’re wondering about the table linens, these are a brand-new color way of the Talelayo pattern from August Table.

I layered the fan-folded napkin on top of a turkey salad plate, a dinner plate and a wooden charger. The little wicker napkin ring picks up on the natural textures of the big basket holding the Thanksgiving Poinsettias.

Here are the Poinsettia varieties that Armstrong’s carries. The top three are the ones I am highlighting here today on the blog.

In this photo, I switched out on of the “Autumn Leaves” poinsettias for one “Golden Glo” on the top left. It’s a slightly different look and I love all the possibilities with these three beautiful new poinsettia varieties.

So, for an effortless look for your Thanksgiving table, you can’t go wrong with these bold and lovely poinsettias from Armstrong Garden Centers

They’re not just for Christmas anymore, you know!

the cutest additions to any tablescape

Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve always had a thing for owls. They’re just such elegant and mysterious birds, and I guess that’s part of the fascination for me.

That’s why I’m super excited to bring out this set of Owl Salt & Pepper Shakers from Vagabond House for Thanksgiving and the Christmas holidays. They’ll be sure to brighten up any table we set!

Hooo wouldn’t want this pair of cuties serving up salt and pepper at the dinner table?

And since they're made by Vagabond House, I know the quality is superb!

Here’s a little bit about Vagabond House... They’re proud to be a family-owned and operated company that specialize in fine tableware, serving ware and giftware.

Each item is artistically designed and finely crafted from the highest quality pewter and other beautiful and durable natural materials.

The owls are a part of this greater tablescape that I’ll be sharing here on the blog in a few days. They fit in so nicely with the warm tones of the tablecloth and these amazing Thanksgiving poinsettias.

Up until this year I’d never heard of Thanksgiving Poinsettias, but I’ve come to learn that it’s a thing, and I just love how they bring that indescribable autumn feeling to the table.

Some of my favorite holiday entertaining essentials are from Vagabond House. This year, as we gather around the table, we can set a table that will brings so much joy to our friends and family.

We can surround ourselves with pretty things that remind us of an old-fashioned Christmas.

The collections from Vagabond House are full of natural elements. Truly inspired by the family’s love of nature, nurture, celebration, tradition, and style, each piece is lovingly designed and solidly created.

Their products are exclusively designed to be unique, functional heirlooms for those who seek to express tradition and style in both family and formal entertaining.

I even have a few more of their cute pieces that feature an owl or two...

My friend Jennifer makes these gorgeous succulent-filled pumpkins and sells them locally. This white one is just divine.

I set this fun pumpkin on my Owl Cheese Stand, and they just look like they're a match made in heaven.

And how about these gorgeous Pewter Owl Napkin Rings? These little cuties inspired me to set a chic black and white table.

What I really love about them is they can be used any time of the year, and they're sure to bring a smile to my face!

elegant table linens for the holidays

Oh, how I love a pretty tablecloth! One swoosh of fabric over your table, and it’s instantly transformed into something out of a magazine!

There’s no denying I have a passion for beautiful table linens, and August Table is among my top 3 choices whenever I’m setting a pretty table.

A lovely tablecloth with matching napkins is the best way to start your table setting, and then all the pieces seem to fall into place.

Recently, I’ve set several tables using some of August Table’s newest patterns and colorways, so I’m here today sharing with you some of my favorite looks.

New to the line are table runners and placemats. In addition to tablecloths, these little gems offer a more casual and informal look to your table.

Here we’ve got the Villa Vaux Petit Gray set with contrasting Villa Vaux napkins with a hint of green.

I absolutely LOVE the hint of green in the napkins, and I brought in a similar green with the vintage glassware, candles and florals.

This look is perfect for fall, but honestly it works any time of the year!

The foraged florals are all from my garden, and you’d be surprised how a bit of greenery can lift the whole table and draw you in to taking a seat.

Collecting vintage candles has become a fun activity and you can often find them at yard sales and thrift store for a few dollars. Just a touch of color with the candles really ties this look together.

White Japanese anemones in the arrangement are one of my all-time favorite flowers, and they start blooming in early fall, which is so lovely when not much else is flowering in the garden.

Switching out the napkins and a few accessories, transforms these place settings into an elegant Thanksgiving table.

All we did here was trade in the napkin for the matching Villa Vaux Gray ones, add a terrific turkey salad plate, a new blue gray goblet and use evergreen eucalyptus for the centerpiece.

Here’s my favorite pattern Villa Vaux again, but this time in a tablecloth on this little alfresco corner table in the back yard.

It’s set up for tea and croissants among my collection of coleus and pretty begonias.

And of course, a pumpkin on the table reminds us of the season we love most!

Setting my dining room table with fall inspiration started with a beautiful Talelayo Sparrow tablecloth from August Table

and then I added beautiful placemats, plates, goblets, napkins and candlesticks from CB Lifestyle.

To soften the center of the table, I added roses, cosmos, dusty miller and olive branches from my garden. A little bunch of dried grasses helps soften the look.

All that was needed was to add a few autumn details, like pumpkins and these adorable blue and white pumpkin appetizer plates from Maxcera.

This is a brand-new color way of the Talelayo pattern from August Table in brown.

I layered the fan-folded napkin on top of a turkey salad plate, a dinner plate and a wooden charger.

The little wicker napkin rings pick up on the natural textures of the big basket holding the Thanksgiving Poinsettias.

I hope this gives you a few ideas for your very own Thanksgiving and fall décor. Please check back later in the week for my 5 favorites on Friday.

the most elegant pumpkin decor

Pumpkin season continues on into November with some of my favorite heirloom varieties that I bought several weeks ago at Armstrong Gardens.

From the middle of September right on through to Thanksgiving, pumpkins have a dear place in my home. I have some of the prettiest ones displayed in my living room.

I always go for the soft muted tones of these gorgeous gourds, and it’s always fun to incorporate them onto a tablescape, mantel, sideboard or hutch.

I understand some of these varieties are also very delicious, so I’ll have to do a little more research and find out which ones work best for baking and roasting.

All I know is I love to see them in their full autumn glory here in the living room among the houseplants and books.

This bumpy green one is just so beautiful! It reminds me of a cozy, chunky knit sweater, doesn’t it?

Enjoy the rest of the weekend, friends!
