minnie driver's English country boho style

Celebrity homes always seem to be a popular subject matter on the blog, and today we have chic home style by  British actress Minnie Driver.

In fact, it’s a bit of a triple header as we have two of her homes that have been featured in magazines and pieces from her new English country furniture line on One Kings Lane.

Her fun furniture line captures the coziness of English décor, but she’s designed it to fit in with a more modern farmhouse style. It’s also got a touch of shabby chic charm going for it as well.

"It was lovely and charming, but I wanted something that really worked as a space to entertain in, and it does that now."— Minnie Driver

What do you think of Minnie's new furniture lifestyle brand?

"It is so beyond what I expected... Seeing it go from rendered drawings to actually there in the space, it’s made me so happy. I absolutely love it." — Minnie Driver

Now we move on to Minnie’s Hollywood Hills home that was featured in 2017 in Elle Décor. She describes the style as “English gypsy” which translates to a sophisticated color palette with boho chic style.

You had me at the gorgeous blue front door and amazing peacock chair, Minnie!!

And now here’s a look at Minnie’s fun little Malibu pad. It’s light-hearted, cute and the decor centers on casual California beach style.

Of the three styles, English country, boho chic, or fun California beach decor, which one’s your favorite?

favorite tablescapes from the home tour

Today we’re back at this amazing modern farmhouse and it’s time to cover two of my favorite all-time subjects, tablescapes and the Newport Harbor Home Tour!

We’re focusing on the outdoor table and the dining room table settings for this home that were created by the 503found showroom, but we also have a peek at the styling of the coffee table and the kitchen counter, which I like to call the “counterscape”.

Natural materials and the foraged look are on full display here. It’s a casual approach to table styling that works perfectly for this California farmhouse.

I’ll be back soon with one more fabulous house that was featured on the Newport Harbor Home Tour this year. It’s another unique and eclectic one you won’t want to miss.

And if you’re interested in next year’s home tour, mark your calendars of May 14, 2020!

While I’m here today, I wanted to share some of my "Tablescaping Essentials" with you. I have a whole page on the Amazon website with my favorite picks for setting a beautiful table.

Quite often time is of the essence, and I have last minute projects or events to work on, so I turn to Amazon for one or two day delivery. You’d be surprised at how many amazing items they have to offer! And I'm constantly updating this page with my new favorites.

You can check it out here, at Tablescaping Essentials.

newport harbor home tour part five

Today's post features the one home I was the most excited about seeing on the Newport Harbor Home Tour. It’s not far from my own house, and I’ve been watching it being transformed for the last year and a half.

This was a stand-out house in the neighborhood for years and was previously a well taken care of white cape cod style home with dark green shutters and red brick built in 1972.

When the Luesebrink family bought it in 2017, they loved the location, the family-friendly back yard and the “good bones” of the home, but it hadn’t been updated in since the seventies!

The transformation is quite stunning. A charcoal gray farmhouse with copper accents is quite a treat for us neighbors, and now you can take a look inside too...

Here’s a little peek at the cute tablesetting they styled for the home tour. Be sure to check back tomorrow for more on this home’s fun tablescapes
