the cutest additions to any tablescape

Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve always had a thing for owls. They’re just such elegant and mysterious birds, and I guess that’s part of the fascination for me.

That’s why I’m super excited to bring out this set of Owl Salt & Pepper Shakers from Vagabond House for Thanksgiving and the Christmas holidays. They’ll be sure to brighten up any table we set!

autumn treasures from Vagabond House

 

Hello friends and let’s hear a warm welcome to November!

 

Having just realized the urgency to start on my Thanksgiving preparations, I have to share with you some of my favorite and newest treasures from Vagabond House that I’ve recently added to my collection, because a lot of them make great gifts!

 

The Pewter Acorn Flatware is a set that I use an awful lot during the fall and winter months.

 

You may have seen this latest Christmas tablescape on Instagram recently, and you can see up-close how pretty the details of each individual utensil handle are.

 

I just LOVE it!

A special fall salad for a very special Harvest Salad Bowl. Inspired by the beautiful pewter pumpkin and twining stems, I simply roasted some acorn squash to highlight this fresh salad.

 

Laid atop a bed of baby lettuces and spinach, the sweet flavor of the squash is highlighted with the addition of dried cranberries, pomegranate seeds, pecans and feta cheese.

 

Choose your own dressing… we opted for a simple vinaigrette.
 

The salad bowl even looks cute filled with pretty pumpkins!

Designated seating is oh-so important, especially at Thanksgiving, so why not make it beautiful?

 

These stunning Turkey Place Card Holders are from Arthur Court Designs.

 

Still life with roses, pumpkins and succulents. White roses are to symbolize hope and love.

this year's best table accessories

I’ll have a side of rings with that order! Today it’s all about the RINGS... I'm talking about napkin rings, of course. These little beauties will set the tone for so many tables I'll be setting this fall and winter.  

I’ve recently acquired a few new sets of gorgeous heirloom-quality napkin rings from Vagabond House, and I’m ready to show them off...  

Starting with these gorgeous Pewter Owl Napkin Rings. These little cuties inspired me to set a chic black and white table to compliment them.  

This look is perfect all year long, but these little owls are so evocative of Halloween, I couldn’t resist leaning in that direction. 

Plus, I LOVE Halloween! Add a little pumpkin soup to the menu, and we’re all set for a lovely and cozy dinner. 

The only "fresh" accent at this table is ivy from the garden... flowing and weaving throughout the table, ivy softens the black and white palette and adds a cozy aspect to the whole tablescape.  

Here are these beauties once again, lined up and suited with some of my favorite napkins. I love the variety seen here, and next up is the Gold Bee Napkin Ring.  

This is a brand-new item for Vagabond House, and the bee is such an iconic symbol, it will never go out of style.
