spring tablescape inspo

I have to let you in on a little secret.
You may have already noticed,
that I’ve been slightly obsessed lately…

with vintage glasses in the prettiest shapes and colors.

Aren't the colors just amazing?

I found these blue dessert glasses
last year at one of my favorite thrift stores
in Huntington Beach,

and I think I got the pink ones on ebay.

I just love how they capture
the light in my dining nook,
which is surrounded by windows.

just about anywhere…

like

garage sales and of course, flea markets.

My little assortment has grown quite a bit in the last year,
and I now call my collection my little glass menagerie.

I love how this grouping of glass looks with
 my gorgeous Valentine flowers,

This colorful bouquet includes
white & pink stock and pink & lavender hyacinths, and...

they smell soooo good!

It makes me look forward to all the spring flowers
coming up in my garden.

Wouldn’t this look be perfect for Easter and Mother’s day?

I think I’ll have to repeat the look!

joanna gaines' new she shed

Did you happen to see this week’s
episode of Fixer Upper where they build and design
garden and chicken coop for their own farm?

I think it’s my all-time favorite show
 that they’ve ever done.

The inspiration for the she shed is the huge diamond-paned window that she’s been storing in her massive warehouse filled with amazing flea market finds.

The vintage doors are pretty spectacular too!

And Chip created the gorgeous fireplace.

Aren’t the tomato plants on the ledge cute?

It’s more than just a shed,
it’s a sanctuary and a meeting place for close friends.

and accessories close at hand.

The outdoor garden area is just as

spectacular

as the inside of the garden shed.

An arched arbor filled with growing vines
is the gateway to and from the shed.

Everything I’ve ever wanted in a
garden is right here!

You can see the fabulous doors here,
behind Chip & Joanna.

And, of course, nearby, under an old oak tree

So cute!

The chicken coop is equally as beautiful as
the rest of the garden and the shed.

You know herbs are my favorites!

And lots of pea gravel divides the outdoor spaces.

Chip and Joanna have also been
very busy  with a new project.

 They’re opening new restaurant named

magnolia table later this year.

Here’s how it’s coming together so far…

Let me know if you’ve watched this episode yet
and what you think about the whole project.

Even if you’re not a “garden person”,
you have to admit that shed is pretty darn cute!

While I’m here today, I wanted to share some of my "Tablescaping Essentials" with you. I have a whole page on the Amazon website with my favorite picks for setting a beautiful table.

Quite often time is of the essence, and I have last minute projects or events to work on, so I turn to Amazon for one or two day delivery. You’d be surprised at how many amazing items they have to offer! And I'm constantly updating this page with my new favorites.

You can check it out here, at Tablescaping Essentials.

country "spring decorating" sampler

Have you ever read Country Sampler Magazine?

I’ve been a fan of their special issues
for a long time,

especially the seasonal ones that
come out every spring, summer, fall & winter.

I was thrilled to get their Spring Decorating Issue
yesterday in the mail,

and I’m so honored and excited to be
a part of this pretty magazine.

Do you remember this red, white and blue
tablescape I set last summer?

Well, I found these adorable anchors and tassels at
Oriental Trading and knew they'd be soooo cute
for accessorizing my patriotic table setting.

It's such an easy way to add a little splash of fun.

The spring edition really came together beautifully,
and I love how they were able to include
so much in just one issue.

Here are some other
beautiful photos from this issue...

Hope you’re having an amazing day!

happy valentine's day !

Happy Valentine’s Day!

My husband and I don’t have much planned today,
besides going to have breakfast at one of
our favorite little french cafés.

I’ll be baking a few festive m & m cookies
and probably whipping up some pasta

for dinner…

low-key all the way!

By the way,
today, I’m just sharing a few of my
favorite valentine vignettes
that are the most pinned on
pinterest.

I hope your day was filled with love!
