farmhouse charm à la française

A French farmhouse theme is certainly
a fun option for a dinner party.

And it’s an easy look to put together…

I love to utilize some of my favorite things
for every table setting,

and starting with a soft blue and white
palette is so easy to pull off.

It's important to bring in a natural texture or two,
as I've done here with the wood flatware and chargers.

A little bundle of lavender at each
place setting is a pretty accent

and of course the scent will naturally
put everyone at ease!

Soft blues, grays and lavender tones
work so well together,

but white plays the starring role.

Olive branches casually set down the
center of the table instantly brings that Provence
vibe to the room.

And if you don’t have enough of the
same plates to go 'round...

mixing and matching is even a better option!

And don’t be afraid to mix and match
your glassware too!

It adds so much interest to the table💙

You can recreate this look with these goodies:

blue table inspo for spring

Here’s a little sneak peek of

what I’ve been working on this week…

A few blue and white table settings for spring

I’m loving the contrast of

blue and white

with green.

And here’s a little French farmhouse look
accented with lavender from my garden.

Layering a variety of

blue and white plates is fun too!

This whole photo shoot starts with bringing all my

favorite blue and white tableware into my dining room…

Here are some of my favorite table runners…

1. Serena & Lily 2. Home Goods
3. Oriental Trading 4. Cynthia Rowley

as seen in the french farmhouse look above.

The next layer for the table adds tons of texture…

a few of my favorite place mats…

1. Serena & Lily  2. Amazon
3. World Market  4. vintage  5. Tuvalu

A selection of napkins…

1. Home Goods  2. Home Goods  3. vintage
4. Serena & Lily  5. vintage  6. Serena & Lily
7. vintage  8. Anthropologie

And some flatware options…

1. vintage  2. World Market  3. Neiman Marcus
4. World Market 5. World Market  6. ebay
7. World Market  8. ebay  9. World Market

To finish off some of these looks,

fresh flowers are a must.

I was pleasantly surprised this week to
find these gorgeous lime green Hellebores
blooming in my garden!

I love how they add a spring-y look
to all the blue and white.

Next week, I'll have more tablescapes
and all the details on these three blue settings.

I sure hope you'll check back soon...

a fabulous beach house on lido isle

Isn’t it amazing when
beach house décor is done right…

This ultra-cool home on Lido Isle,
was designed by one of my faves,
her “client queen of the girl bosses”
who’s a bit of a
bigwig

 in the fashion industry.

Take a looky here…

I love the driftwood-like floors,
the effortless laidback décor,
natural textures,
graphic rugs and pillows,

and

pure white walls.

As seen in C magazine,

this is the home of the fabulous Elyse Walker
who just opened her second
high-end clothing boutique

(the first one is in Pacific Palisades)

my favorite serena and lily pillows

We have a new sectional on order at Room & Board
that should be arriving in a couple of weeks…yay!

So in the meantime,
I’ve been shopping for pillows,

and

of course,
I had to stop in one of my favorite stores

last week for some
beachy  inspo…

This grouping is so cute.

To go along with some of my solid color throw pillows,

I decided on these three as pretty accents...

Above is the Astoria Pillow.

Such a cute little print!

I already have 1 & 4 in my living room,
so the new ones will blend perfectly in my family room!
