I
first spotted this adorable Newport Beach cottage in Rue Magazine, and immediately
fell in love with its pretty coastal décor. Designed by Mindy Lavin, the dated
1964 old-school layout was transformed to an open and airy updated beach house.
Walls
were removed and finishes were modernized to create the perfect home for a young family with three small children. Now the house is opened up from front to back
and takes full advantage of the views of the water. Distressed wood floors and
a simple gray and white palette are the perfect choices for a home so close to the sea.

Best of all, this home and others
like it are featured in this new book!
