pumpkins on the porch

The Pumpkin
BY JOHN GREENLEAF WHITTIER

"Oh, fruit loved of boyhood! the old days recalling,
When wood-grapes were purpling and brown nuts were falling!
When wild, ugly faces we carved in its skin,
Glaring out through the dark with a candle within!

When we laughed round the corn-heap, with hearts all in tune,
Our chair a broad pumpkin,—our lantern the moon,
Telling tales of the fairy who traveled like steam,
In a pumpkin-shell coach, with two rats for her team!"

happy halloween from the 'hood

It’s amazing how one little pumpkin or two
can really brighten up your front door.

It’s such an easy way to finish off

After all, October is the perfect time to brighten your
front door with a little pop of holiday color!

A few cute orange pumpkins here and there
 usually do the trick.

And speaking of Halloween porch décor,
these snapshots are a few of my favorite looks
from the neighborhood.

A bright pop of orange at the front door
is the perfect accent to add a little fun to your curb appeal.

Our neighborhood is suddenly blooming
with Fall 🍁 colors and décor!

Most of these homes are quite traditional,
but they all have their own style as well, don’t they?

This community is pretty unique.
I’ve chosen the more simple and
elegant ones to share with you all today!

Oh, how I love to see inspiring Halloween décor done right!
Isn’t this entry cute?

I can’t wait ‘til Halloween!
