Happy Monday and the last day of June!

Summer seems to already be zooming by! Time to get our red, white and blue on!!❤️🤍💙

Bringing all the summer vibes to the table starting with the red geraniums from Armstrong Garden that I brought into the breakfast room, as my inspiration point for this patriotic look.

I then set the table with these vibrant new table linens from All Cotton and Linen and added some of my favorite farmhouse accents for a cozy look.

The blue goblets and striped chair cushions are new, and most other things are vintage.

a gorgeous new garden green tablecloth

It’s early morning in the breakfast room. I’m starting off the day with a few other new treasures on the table, and it’s an easy to put a big smile on my face!

Stop and take a peek at this gorgeous new Garden Green Tablecloth and Napkins from August Table. 

The look of these table linens is so cozy thanks to the fact that these are all 100% linen. The darling little stylized floral pattern is a classic.

 

Don’t you love the look of these wonderful new woven Safavieh farmhouse chairs? And there are also a few other goodies to share…

A pair of woven wicker glass vases in two complimentary sizes. These are so versatile for holding flowers, stems and even candles. Best of all, they look very pretty on their own too!

As a soothing backdrop, I just clipped a few eucalyptus branches to add a lovely bit of green to the room.

  

Freshly cut sprigs of kumquats add life to this little scene, not to mention a fun pop of color. The morning light in February is magical!

Check out these cute stoneware bowls from Antique Farmhouse. I love how they look with this Garden Green Tablecloth and round burlap placemats.

I have this same Garden tablecloth pattern in the yellow and gray tone that I love to style with lemons, but today I felt like a pop of orange from the kumquats would be fun!

Here’s another quick look at the new Garden Green tablecloth from August Table. Sometimes the simplicity of a simple white centerpiece is all you need to create a soothing look for the room.

 

A pair of white ironstone pitchers always come in handy, whether they’re holding some flowers from the garden or pouring your favorite iced tea. 

One of my favorite ways to serve Arnold Palmers is to have tea and lemonade in separate pitchers so guests create their own custom formula, over ice, with a sprig of mint!

a winter white tablescape

Hints of a winter wonderland are one of my favorite ways to honor the season we’re in right now. 

Evergreen trees, a neutral palette and just a hint of holiday sparkle is my favorite look for January.

 

Welcome to the breakfast room where today I’m featuring lots of thrifted treasures and some of my favorite simple holiday decor items.

I recently put up these cozy curtains right before Thanksgiving to warm up the space during the colder months. I found these toile-like drapes on Amazon and I just have them on simple and easy to use swing-arm curtain rods.

 

They’re so easy to install and you have so much versatility with how much of the curtains you want to show, and curtains are easily changed out without removing any hardware.

 

I loved this pattern so much that I recently bought a pretty blue colorway of this same print for my living room. I'll share those soon! 

 

The botanical print on these curtains features a pretty vining pattern with pomegranates, birds and even a few adorable hummingbirds!

 

And the fabric is perfect. It’s linen-like blend that has great texture and just the right amount of sheerness.

  

White eyelet placemats and napkins may feel like summer, but I love the little lacy quality they bring to this winter white table and give it a fun shabby chic look!

I found these two white cottage-shaped candles recently while out thrifting and I love how they glow in the center.

The chairs have a lovely, warm sheepskin throw on each seat adding to the coziness of this room and they do make you feel warmer on a cold January day like today. 

White poinsettias are the flower of the day, and I love the nostalgic feel they bring to the room.

 

And even though Christmas is over, the white poinsettias still look good here nestled in their plain paper bags.

Do you spot the pretty clear goblets with the etched Christmas tree design? I found a set of 6 of those at my favorite thrift store just before the holidays and fell in love with them!

 

It wasn’t until I got home that I realized they were from Neiman-Marcus! They are truly soooo elegant, and I just love the statement they make here with the small evergreen trees in the room and the muted bottlebrush trees on the table.  

 

The little sprigs of greenery on my chandelier are actually little evergreen wreaths that are sold as napkin rings. They’re the perfect size for the individual candlesticks of the chandelier.

 

The chunky chargers, also shown here, are from Antique Farmhouse. I added the dainty round eyelet placemats on top to soften the look.

 

The eyelet placemats and matching napkins are from Shabby Chic, and I found them both at Marshall’s!

 

Here’s the same room and table with a few little changes but still maintaining the beauty of winter white.

 

Here’s a tip for showcasing the poinsettias with a fun farmhouse cottage look… It's as simple as just popping them in a paper bag, cutting the bag to size, and tying with a pretty ribbon. No pots or baskets needed!! 

 

Armstrong Garden always has the best selection of poinsettias in the most unusual colors!

timeless blue & white at the table

Blue and white is a timeless color palette, and I must admit my very favorite!

 

Today I’m showcasing pretty dishes, placemats, pitchers, chunky candlesticks and glassware from Antique Farmhouse.

I love how perfectly this August Table Villa Vaux Tablecloth and napkins match the plates. It’s a blooming success!

 

And speaking of blooming, this huge bunch of daisies are freshly picked from my garden. They’re actually a plant called Feverfew, similar to Chamomile.

 

Have you ever grown Feverfew? It’s so very easy to grow and reseeds itself every year. Another great quality is that this mini daisy with fragrant foliage is one of the first things to bloom in late winter and early spring.

 

Happy accidents may not be accidents at all! This was meant to be… pretty plates and napkins coordinating so well is a genuinely happy thing!!

 

Overall, this blue and white look is just what I needed today. This look offers a serene and calm view from everywhere in the house, and I just love it!

 

These oval wicker placemats actually fit more than the standard round placemats since there’s room on each side of flatware and napkins.

 

Although we call this the breakfast room, it’s so cozy and inviting that we use it for most of our meals.

 

As a final flourish to this look, we added new Grape Salt & Pepper shakers from Arthur Court, but the big bunch of daisies from the garden is the finishing touch to this timeless blue and white cottage farmhouse look.

the best lemon tablescapes

 

Our largest lemon tree is still so full of lemons right now, that it's such a pleasure to use them every day for cooking and to flavor our water and teas.

In addition to that, when life gives you so many amazing lemons, it's also fun to fill lots of pretty bowls and sprinkle those citrus filled bowls to different rooms around the house. 

Of course using them for a table setting is also a wonderful idea that is always a fresh look that can't be beat. 

I love the effortless pop of color and lovely scent it brings to each and every table setting. Here are a few of my favorite examples. 

 

Easy as lemon meringue pie, a table runner and matching lemon place mats instantly add loads of charm to your dining space, indoors or out! A frilly cake stand filled to brim with lemons makes a bold statement.

 

I can’t help feeling a sense of happiness looking at these new lemon pattern table linens from Pacific and Rose. 

They're so easy to accessorize too, just add a few fresh lemons and pretty flowers and the look is complete!

When life gives you lemons, we must remember to enjoy them in every way possible! 

Note the unique quality of all these lemon patterned table linens and accessories that are hand block-printed by artisans at the fair-trade workshop in Jaipur, India. 

This timeless pattern plays off the real lemons in my home so well.

The Snowball Viburnum flowers are from my cottage garden, and easily arranged in a vintage white ironstone pitcher. 

I love how they look with the soft green tones of the pretty Lemon Tablecloth and Napkins. 

It's so fun to decorate and "play house" with these beautiful new gifted treasures! First up is this beautiful new "Garden Yellow" tablecloth and napkins from August Table.

The texture of this soft linen and cotton blend is amazing and I also love the little lace-like inset on the tablecloth.... Can you spot it?

 

It's perfectly acceptable to mix the faux with the real, and in this case, both types of lemons are a hit!

And from Antique Farmhouse, check out this gorgeous faux lemon and eucalyptus wreath. 

It's so realistic that it's hard to distinguish the real lemons on the table from the faux variety! 

Also new this week is the Distressed Metal Urn, also from Antique Farmhouse. It's got the perfect patina for any situation!!.

 

Weekend vibes here at home in the breakfast room.

 

One of my favorite tablecloths is this one called “Monet’s Kitchen” from Pacific and Rose. 

Inspired by the Provencal color palette of Claude Monet’s Kitchen in Giverny. Of course fresh lemons and a few limes are the perfect accents for this pattern. 

Who wouldn't want to wake up to a sunny, fresh table like this for breakfast?!

 

This pretty pattern is block-printed by hand in lovely shades of blue, green and yellow.

 

I love how perfectly it blends with my citrusy centerpieces.

 

It's so perfect for giving your home a weekend vibe all week long!

 

Life. Lemons. Lemonade. You know the drill... 

But making the best of something also includes a little indulgence, like this gorgeous new Lemon Glass Pitcher from Vagabond House I absolutely fell in love with.

 

So, when you're making your lemons into lemonade, remember to treat yourself to something special, because after all, YOU are worth it!!
