Halloween is working its way into the tablesphere...
Just a little touch of black-and-white brought in with transferware plates, gingham napkins and a vintage embroidered table runner is all I need here.
Here’s a look at my dining room this week and you can catch a glimpse of my kitchen too. I love owls, especially this time of the year, and I found these two recently while thrifting.
The small owl oil painting on the side board is my favorite purchase of the month at only five bucks! It fits in perfectly with the décor fall in the dining room.
Edible fall flowers like calendula and pansies planted in a soup tureen brighten the whole table. A few of these blooms can easily be tossed into a salad as part of a festive fall meal.
Fall décor is fun, but I wanted to infuse a little spookier October vibe to this table. My good friend Laura spotted this amazing table runner while we were out thrifting one day. It’s SO PERFECT for this table.
I paired this runner with classic black and white gingham napkins and vintage amber glassware for that sparkle that I just love! Did you notice the fun napkin rings? I love how they match my chandelier from World Market!
Mismatched black and white transferware plates complete this chic Halloween look for the table. Even the trees on this plate have a spooky shape to them, and simple gold flatware works impeccably at each place setting.
For me, it's all about
owls, bats, glittery spiders
and vintage Jack-o-lanterns!

What’s your favorite way to decorate for Halloween?
