Now at the Los Angeles
County Museum of Art, "Living in a Modern Way" is an exhibit
and study on California Midcentury Modern design. It's the first of it's kind
in this design genre, and features furniture, ceramics, fashion, textiles,
metalwork and industrial and graphic designs. Here's a sneak peek:

I had read about this! The thing that caught my eye was the Barbie Dream house...her actual cardboard, foldout Dream House from the 1960s. Too many of them couldn't hold up to time and handling, so they're pretty rare. Barbie was "happening" and cool in the early 60s, reflecting dream life/real life, so it makes sense she's in this exhibition.
The stuff in this blog is in not only incredible but also providing the great knowledge to the people.dmslaser
