animal print in the bedroom

Show us how you really feel and bring out your inner animal magnetism with a little animal print in the bedroom. A modest bit goes a long way. Whether it’s leopard, cheetah or tiger, animal print surprisingly acts as a neutral, but also adds vibrancy to a room. Just one pillow can complete the look you're after.

Imagine this room without the leopard cushion. What do you see? A cutsey, plain-jane room… but with the addition of this wild pillow, wow!

Here the leopard print really makes the black closet doors pop and brings the whole room together. Reupholster a couple of small matching ottomans, and you're all set.

Most animal prints play off nicely with bold colors too!

But, they’re perfectly at home with a neutral palette too.

Mix and match to your heart content until you come up with an amazing mix of pillows and textures. Even though this tiger print has orange in it, it coordinates nicely with traditional fabrics. That little bit of orange in the chinoiserie pillow connects the whole look.

can be your best accessory,
and it’s the perfect accent
for just about any outfit.

Not only that,
a leopard scarf can be edgy or elegant.
I have a few in different fabrics and colors.

Who do you think wears it best
from this group of celebrities?

pretty bedroom pillows

A fun mix of bedroom pillows is always a great way to start and end your day!  Would any of these make you happy?  I think my faves are 1 and 4. I can't resist a little animal print or a little gold to liven things up!

 Do you have a favorite?

fun ballet flats

Kind of a fun take on the usually plain ballet-flats.
For tall girls like me, flats are essential!
What do you think?  Would you wear any of these?
I like the ones pictured at the top best.

my new year's eve table

This year's New Year’s Eve table is set.

We used leopard plates, a clock-face
runner with a scattering of pearls.

Mercury glass votives and vintage glass
ornaments add sparkle and shine.

Do you recognize these clock faces
from another table setting seen here?

Don’t forget to have plenty of
“Midnight Kisses” on hand!

Party hats and horns are a must!

 Pearls are the perfect accent.

And these clock faces are so easy to print out.

We’re ready to make some noise!

Only a few hours to go….

‘til midnight!

The champagne is chillin’…

Wishing you a fabulous new year!

💕

While I’m here today, I wanted to share some of my "Tablescaping Essentials" with you. I have a whole page on the Amazon website with my favorite picks for setting a beautiful table.

Quite often time is of the essence, and I have last minute projects or events to work on, so I turn to Amazon for one or two day delivery. You’d be surprised at how many amazing items they have to offer! And I'm constantly updating this page with my new favorites.

You can check it out here, at Tablescaping Essentials.

Carole Radziwill's guide to animal print

Carole is one of my favorite housewives
from the Bravo franchise.

Some of us are obsessed with
Carole's overall sense of style,
and now she's unveiled
her newly renovated apartment.

The iconic tiger sofa
is still the centerpiece of her decor,
 thankfully!

Whether it's fashion or decor,
Carole rocks it every time!

Back to her new decor...
a few hints of leopard on this cozy curved couch
under the floating stairs are perfect.

Details of the ovoid side table and well-worn sofa
upholstered in Scalamandre Le Tigre fabric.

The view from across the room,
and a peek at the butterfly table.

Carole showing of another newly acquired vintage table.

Kristin, Heather and Carole
shmoozing over Carole's new book,
The Widow's Guide to Sex and Dating.

Talk of the new decor and books soon turns to

talk of Aviva, the cray-cray.

We'll discuss Aviva later,
after the first reunion show!
meanwhile,
the elegant fabrics play off nicely
with the quirky vintage accessories.

The famous tiger sofa was
a hand-me-down from her mother-in-law,
Lee Radziwill.

Here's a vintage photo of Lee's apartment.

You know, of course,
that Lee is Jackie Kennedy's sister
and a huge fashionista
and style icon in her own right.

Here they are with Aviva during more peaceful times.

That sofa just looks good with everything.
a lesson from Carole....

animal print is a classic!
