a pumpkin tablescape in blue

A pretty blue plaid throw naturally harmonizes with these soft gray pumpkin plates I just found at Home Goods. For this table, these two elements were the starting points for the fall look in soothing blues and tans.

After that, I just added simple white dinner plates, ruffled burlap place mats, vintage blue glassware, and of course a few soft blue hydrangeas.

In addition to the blue and white hydrangeas from Trader Joe’s, I’ve added a sprig of eucalyptus to each place setting to soften the look. My neighbor Maureen lets me have full rein of her tree in the front yard so I get to snip a few branches from time to time!

I love to bring out a pretty plaid throw as the main fabric element for a table, especially now as we head in to fall. The plaid throws I have, are specifically stored in the closet with my tablecloths and runners and are  specifically used on my tables.

Some of these plaid throws are found in the women’s section of department stores and sold as wraps, and I keep my eye out for any  sort of small plaid blanket all year long while out thrifting.

These two sets of blue glasses were found and thrift stores and on ebay. I have the amber version of the taller ones, which I absolutely love for fall, especially on Thanksgiving.

The blue plates above the windows have been there from at least twenty years, and I love how they're highlighted by this blue tablescape.

This Serena & Lily light fixture is relatively new. It adds a fun, beachy look to the room, and it's one of the first things you see when you walk in the front door.

My French bistro chairs are also from Serena & Lily and are absolutely one of the best purchases I've ever made! They're so pretty and comfortable too!

Burlap accessories just play off the wood tones of the table and floor so well, and they also pick up the tan in the blanket too!

For me, a tablescape is all about varying textures and making everyone feel welcomed!

These burlap cutlery holders are so perfect for holding the silverware and napkins for each guest, and aren’t they cute?

I just love fall so much!

The soft colors just play off each other so well.

Do you ever use blue to decorate for fall?

I think my next fall table will feature green apples!

🍏

Doesn’t that sound fun?

P.S. Stop by later this week,
and I'll show you how I styled this same table with French flair!

set up an easy hot cocoa bar

Hi, friends! 🎅🏻 🎄 I’m sharing my simple and festive hot cocoa bar today. This is as simple as setting out some cute mugs, a cozy plaid throw and a fun little electric kettle!

Everyone can serve themselves and garnish with their favorite holiday treats like candy canes, marshmallows, and warm spices. It's a win-win for everyone!

A seldom used counter space next to our family room fireplace is the perfect spot to set up this cozy cocoa bar. I recently purchased this handy copper colored electric kettle and I just love how fast it heats up the water.

Most everything you see is vintage except the kettle and the fun Hot Cocoa Recipe sign. The sign is actually a print printed on canvas from Olive Branch Farmhouse. From a distance, it really looks like an old vintage chalkboard sign.

I recently found this wonderful plaid throw at Marshall's. It's the quintessential tartan plaid for Christmas!

Of course, we must have Santa mugs! These are vintage, and somehow drinking out of an adorable Santa Claus mug makes the cocoa taste a little better.

Here’s another little fun vintage-inspired hot cocoa bar I set up last year in my kitchen. I brought together some of the same cute holiday collectables that remind me of a cozy winter's day.

My favorite time-saving tip is to use chocolate milk for the cocoa and keep it warm in a mini crock pot.

Here’s another take on hot cocoa… a Snickerdoodle Hot Chocolate! Yes, it’s worth a try. It’s soooo good.

This is one of my recipes was published in Country Sampler Farmhouse Style magazine a few winters back.

It’s really quite simple to make and a fun way to surprise your guests during any holiday celebration.

In case you haven’t heard, I started a new Instagram page in October and named it Claudia FabianaHome. My former page, Ciao Fabiana, is still up, but after getting a new phone, I was no longer able to log into this account, so the new profile was born!

I hope you’ll follow along with me on Instagram for all the latest projects and décor I will be sharing in 2025.

fall table for the weekend

I’ve started pulling out a few of
my favorite cozy accessories
 to add here and there
around the house.

One of my favorites is this soft plaid throw.

It instantly puts me in a fall mood, and
I love how it looks with these gorgeous pumpkins

I started with setting the
plaid throw on a diagonal,
that way the fringed edge is softly
draping over each side of the table.

The large orange and gray pumpkins
were placed in the center of the table.

They’re a beautiful, soft color
that’s almost chalky in appearance.
I found these and all the smaller
pumpkins at Roger’s Gardens.

Then, I arranged the smaller
yellow-striped and white pumpkins
around the large ones.

The gaps were softened with freshly cut
olive branches from the garden,
 a few elegant pheasant feathers
and some rustic little twigs.

This whole setting looks great with the
that I put together on Friday.

That now sits on the cabinets in front
of the window, and I’m really pleased
with how they look together!

Have you started decorating for Fall
at your home yet?

I want to hear all about it...

ciao! fabiana
