bottle brush trees, a vintage look

There is something I love so much 

about these 

little bottle brush trees. 

I've collected a few here and there over the years, 

but this year, I am seeing so many sweet little vignettes 

that I just love.  

We haven’t pulled out our Christmas décor yet this year,

 but are planning to do so this afternoon. 

I can't wait to get reacquainted with my little trees! 

But, I was lucky enough to find 

a trio of bottle brush trees at the Goodwill last week 

and picked up another pair 

of simple ones at a local boutique, 

seen in photo 7.  

Just wait until they get zhushed up 

with some of my other fun vintage goodies!  

I just love to mix and match new... 

and vintage 

bottle brush trees!

a dear reindeer for Christmas

Yesterday I stopped by

my local TJ Maxx Home Goods store

to get started on my Christmas shopping,

and of course,

I had to browse in the home décor section,

like I often love to do.  

Secretly, I was wishing to find

a cute little deer head to hang in my dining room,

like the ones I have seen on pinterest

all decked out with Christmas swags and wreaths.  

They look so festive all dressed up for the holidays.  

And there, on the shelf, among ornaments,

nutcrackers and glittery objects,

lay the lone silver deer I had been hoping to find!  

He’s just the right size to fit on the wall opening too!  

I added a preserved boxwood wreath from last year,

and now he’s all set

at least through new year’s,

and maybe even longer!

    

I have this funny little column wall that divides the dining room and the breakfast nook.  So this little deer fits here perfectly!
