treasured holiday pieces to collect

Pine Cone Salt & Pepper Shakers

Some of my favorite holiday entertaining essentials are from Vagabond House. This year, as we gather around the table, we can still set a table that will bring a bit of joy. Even though our guest lists are shorter than usual, we can still surround ourselves with pretty things that remind us of an old-fashioned Christmas.

Today I’m sharing six of my favorite heirloom quality pieces with you from Vagabond House. I have them out all season long. I have to admit, they make extraordinary Christmas, wedding, or birthday gifts too.

Santa Sugar Bowl

Here’s a little bit about Vagabond House... They’re proud to be a family-owned and operated company that specialize in fine tableware, serving ware and giftware.

Each item is artistically designed and finely crafted from the highest quality pewter and other beautiful and durable natural materials.

Gold Bee Napkin Ring

Their products are exclusively designed to be unique, functional heirlooms for those who seek to express tradition and style in both family and formal entertaining.

Wood Acorn Box

The collections are full of natural elements. Truly inspired by the family’s love of nature, nurture, celebration, tradition, and style, each piece is lovingly designed and solidly created.

Lilacs Salad Bowl & Servers

This gorgeous salad bowl was a gift to me from my sister-in-law, and she chose this lilac pattern because she knows how dear lilacs are in our childhood memories.

We both grew up with massive and vibrantly fragrant lilac bushes in our yards, so this gorgeous salad bowl has such special meaning to both of us!

Elk Head Wood Flatware Caddy

Just wanted to share a few of my favorite things with you...  I’ll be back later this weekend with more holiday inspo!

farmhouse style christmas projects

I hope the weekend treated you all nicely! After a relaxing Saturday and Sunday, it actually feels nice to be back at my desk today working on some new projects and catching up on work stuff!

This special Christmas issue by Country Sampler Farmhouse Style has been out for several weeks now, and today I’m sharing some of my contributions to this fun annual installment of CSFS.

“Cute as a Button”

Starting on page 62, you can check out several fun holiday wrapping ideas with the article called “Fresh & Festive Gift Wrap”. These three ideas of mine are only a few of the creative options in this section.

“Special Delivery”

“Seasonal Snapshots”

"Christmas Chutney"

The next article is called "Gifts from the Heart”. Among the many thoughtful gifts is this special recipe for Christmas Chutney. I love making a big pot of homemade chutney this time of year and packing it in pretty repurposed jars for gift giving.

There really are so many delicious ways to serve chutney, and many of them are listed for you to try on page 70.

“Chocolate-Dipped Yankee Oatmeal Crispies

Last but not least are these amazing “Chocolate-Dipped Yankee Oatmeal Crispies”. The original recipe is from the 1960’s, and I modified it here by adding a little dip of chocolate to each one. This treasured recipe can be found on page 105.

Due to the exclusive nature of these projects, I'm not able to share the recipes and DIY instructions just yet. But, I will say this, all of these issues are packed full of holiday crafts, decorating ideas, recipes and more!

So as this year is slowly coming to an end, I'm truly so grateful to be featured in these 3 holiday-inspired magazines this season! Even though, it’s been a really interesting 2020, I had some fun doing a lot of photography and styling work to keep my distracted and busy.

My styling project for Cottages & Bungalows was shot a year ago, and all my projects for both issues of Country Sampler Farmhouse Style were shot here in my house during March and April.

Seeing these Christmas recipes, designs and ideas come to life is really a dream come true. Thanks so much for checking in with me. I’m happy to have somewhere to share all these ideas that I have up in my head!

I’ll be back later this week with more holiday inspo!
