That spooky time of the year has arrived…

and, I had to do it. I had to bring in a little bit of orange to my Halloween table this year. Usually, I like to keep it black and white with a hint of green, but this go around, my vintage black and white transferware plates just needed a little bit of a boost.

pumpkin lovin' by garden studio design

Isn’t this entryway so elegant?

My design crush this week is

Chris from Garden Studio Design,

who styled these pretty vignettes.

She’s always a fixture on the

Corona del Mar Home Tour and this year

she really knocked it out of the park

with these copper dipped pumpkins!

Not one hint of orange here,

just white, copper and that

 pretty grey-green pumpkin color!

These colors look pretty amazing with

the pretty landscaping Chris

designed for this gorgeous farmhouse.

Peace and harmony in the garden,

for sure!

It was a HOT one today!

The Santa Ana winds are blowin’, 

it's so sunny and

 the air is super dry...

more halloween porches

Oh, how I love my neighborhood!

It’s quite eclectic. 

I live in a community where each house

is pretty unique, built in different decades

by different builders and it gives it that

quirky, unique quality that I love.

So during the holidays,

it’s always fun to see how my neighbors express

themselves through décor.

There are lots of spooky front yards around,

but I’ve chosen the more simple and elegant ones

to share with you all today!

Yes, all these homes are quite traditional,

but they all have their own style as well,

don’t they?

You may recognize a couple of these homes,

because I kind of have a little “crush” on them!

There's nothing wrong with that, right?

My love for architecture and design 

runs deep, lol.

There’s always a house or two

that really stand out and

set the tone for the neighborhood,

don’t you think?

corona del mar home tour, tuesday

One of my favorite things about living in Newport Beach

is that there are two amazing home tours every year,

one in the Spring and one in the Fall.

As you might now I’m involved with 

the Newport Harbor Home Tour

which is held annually in May.

And now that we’re well into October,

the Corona del Mar Home Tour is finally here!

In fact, it’s on Tuesday!

And the great news is

tickets are still available.
