patriotic table with cottage flowers

Happy Monday and the last day of June!

Summer seems to already be zooming by! Time to get our red, white and blue on!!❤️πŸ€πŸ’™

Bringing all the summer vibes to the table starting with the red geraniums from Armstrong Garden that I brought into the breakfast room, as my inspiration point for this patriotic look.

I then set the table with these vibrant new table linens from All Cotton and Linen and added some of my favorite farmhouse accents for a cozy look.

The blue goblets and striped chair cushions are new, and most other things are vintage.

Tell me friends, how do you celebrate Summer?

In case you haven’t heard, I started a new Instagram page in October and named it Claudia Fabiana Home.

My former page is still up, but after getting a new phone, I was no longer able to log into this account, so the new profile was born!

I hope you’ll follow along with me on Instagram for all the latest projects and dΓ©cor I will be sharing in 2025.

how to host a garden party

Let’s talk easy Garden Party vibes…

Every garden party must have flowers and cake! My favorite way to dress up an alfresco soiree is to set the table with pretty floaty linens that can rustle gently in the breeze.

Stop and take a peek at this gorgeous new Garden Pink Tablecloth and Napkins from August Table. This is a super easy way to instantly set a beautiful table when you start with pretty table linens like this and then simply add your everyday tableware and a big bouquet of flowers.

A lovely bouquet of cottage garden flowers always helps to brighten the table. The theme of this bouquet is “what’s blooming today in the garden.”

I’ve recently been watching Sarah Raven floral how-to videos on YouTube, and she inspired me for this floral creation!

All of these flowers were all grown in our cottage garden and are just loosely arranged in an antique Majolica pitcher that belonged to my husband's great grandmother.

The look of these table linens is so cozy thanks to the fact that these are all 100% linen. The darling little stylized floral pattern is a classic.

A store-bought apple bundt cake from Irvine Ranch Market is perfect for adding adorable garden flowers to the top.

Here’s what’s blooming in my garden right now and what is topping the cake:

πŸ’—Roses
πŸ’—Dahlias
πŸ’—Geranium
πŸ’—Yarrow
πŸ’—Mint

πŸ’—Sweet Williams
πŸ’—Verbena

πŸ’—Borage

Creating a cozy and welcoming ambiance is all about paying attention to the little details and making your guests feel comfortable.

This year I’m growing fewer vegetables in this garden, and I’ve been focusing more on cut flowers, especially dahlias, with a few zinnias and cosmos sprinkled in.

This delicate bloom is a "collarette dahlia", and the variety is Hartenaas. It's one of my favorites!!

Raspberry pie is such a perfect summer treat, especially when topped with fresh whipped cream and berries from the garden. I grow Boysenberries and Jewel Black Raspberries, and we also have a few strawberries and blueberries in pots near this garden.

There's nothing quite like home-grown fruit for quality and taste!

June in the garden is the most magical time of the year, and I couldn't resist setting an impromptu little table to share with all of you and with my friends Cindy, Mary Ann, Annie, Juliet and Kim.

They also know a thing or two about styling beautiful outdoor tables and are queens of entertaining! Check out their newest posts here:

red, white & blue alfresco night

The start of the summer season means we’ll be alfresco-ing all day! Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and even snacks...

And why not, when red, white and blue is ‘all that’ for summer? I love this color palette!

Summer entertaining has become a true joy with these fun additions to my collection of tableware and decor.

As the days grow longer and gatherings move effortlessly from sun-dappled patios to cozy indoor spaces, I love having pieces that blend charm with practicality.

I’m also loving my new rattan and glass cloches. They’re great whether we’re dining inside or out.

These 2 different sizes are so perfect to hold a variety of our favorite muffins, cheeses and fruits and best of all keeps our snacks protected from the elements and the bugs.

In addition to the fun cloches, a few other new treasures I found are sprinkled around like the votive candleholders, blue and white plates, windowpane plaid throw, pedestal and the vintage inspired jug holding the flowers.

Every year I look forward to my blue agapanthus blooming so I can combine them with whitehydrangeas and ruby red geraniums from the garden for a fun patriotic look.

It’s these little touches that make every meal feel special and thoughtfully styled, whether it’s a festive brunch with friends or a quiet evening supper with family.

Layering different textures and patterns—think crisp linens, woven accents, and delicate glass—creates a sense of relaxed elegance that feels just right for the season.

To tie it all together, I love adding fresh flowers in unexpected vessels and scattering a few candles for that magical, golden-hour glow. The result is a table that’s both inviting and a true reflection of summer’s easygoing spirit.

The pretty striped 100% linen napkins and tablecloth are from All Cotton and Linen. They’re so perfect for this kind of summer look!

architectural digest : Sofía Vergara

Architectural Digest recently showcased SofΓa Vergara’s luxurious Los Angeles residence in its “Hollywood at Home” edition.

Vergara, who bought the house with her former husband Joe Manganiello, led an extensive makeover that transformed the once-outdated property into a welcoming, richly decorated space brimming with antiques and personal details.

Sophia worked with interior designer Ohara Davies-Gaetano and architect Timothy Corrigan to reimagine her house.

The home, originally built in the 1990s, was completely updated. Arches and columns were removed to create a space that's brighter and feels more open.

A peek of the kitchen from Sophia’s Instagram.

Landscape designer Stephen Block created gardens filled with tropical plants that reflect Vergara's Colombian heritage.

The redesign includes European antiques from countries like Spain, Sweden, France, and Italy.

Notable pieces are an 18th-century Venetian mirror, a French limestone fireplace from the same period, and ornate Baroque armchairs with gilded details.

Elegant touches throughout the house include a dining room ceiling decorated with hand-embossed floral plaster, an antique chandelier from Italy, and a sizable collection of porcelain antiques.

What a dreamy outdoor space!

So perfect for parties!

I love the muted colors used here.

She's especially proud of her walk-in closet, which is floor-to-ceiling, color-coordinated.

Sophia describes her closet as "a girl's girl's dream."

Sofia also owns a vacation house called "Casa Chipi Chipi" in a secret location believed to be in Colombia, her homeland.

She enjoys spending time there with her family and often welcomes friends and fellow actors to visit.

The home is famous for its tropical atmosphere and warm, fun dΓ©cor that reflects Sofia's lively personality.

Hey! I have those same pillows!

They’re from Serena and Lilly.

Such a pretty and beachy place setting!

We hope you enjoyed this tour of Sophia Vergara’s lovely homes.
