a dream issue of Cottages & Bungalows

The theme of the next issue of Cottages & Bungalows is "Coastal Style", and I’m so happy to tell you, there are three projects I styled in this issue.

The first is my own home where the backyard is mostly highlighted. The focus for this photo shoot was an entertaining feature, so you'll get to see lots of different areas I set up that are perfect for hosting friends and family.

We had a major heatwave on the day of this photo shoot last June, so it inspired me to set up a little table on the front porch that included cool sliced watermelon and a refreshing pitcher of iced tea.

My friend Brenda Kristine made these pretty custom pillows just for our porch photos and, I love how they tie in to the colors of the potted geraniums.

Here’s a little beverage station we set up on my potting table that’s attached to the side of my garden shed. It doubles perfectly for serving drinks and showing off my collection of vintage blue glassware that’s so fun to use during the summer months.

You’ll get to see the blue glasses and the rest of the setup in this upcoming issue. This pretty rattan serving tray is the Bedford Tray by Serena & Lily

Next, we’re headed to the Blue Door Cottage on Little Balboa Island. This dreamy little home was built in 1928 and has recently been lovingly updated.

Everyone’s favorite shot of the day was having Pippa the Golden Retriever peek out from the kitchen's Dutch door.

This red and white pillow from Pacific & Rose was the icing on the cake for the living room. I couldn’t resist adding a pair of these pretty “Buta” pillows for the cottage to make all the existing blue and white decor really pop.

Our third project that's set to be featured is my good friend Laura’s pretty cottage kitchen. You got a peek at her lovely backyard in this month’s Cottages & Bungalows magazine, and now we get an inside look at her newly updated kitchen.

You’ll get a full tour of her beautiful white kitchen and even a get to check out a few other special areas of her home.

Here's an up-close and personal look at the bar cart I styled, complete with vivid sunflowers, fresh citrus and precious family mementos.

The coastal issue will be out around June 16th. That’s one short month away! I can’t wait for you all to read the details and check out this whole issue, and I’ll be sure to share more in the next few weeks.

ciao! fabiana
