celebrating the earth

Happy Earth Day!

It is after all, a day to celebrate the earth,
so why not enjoy a little bit of
gorgeous map décor?

Vintage maps and globes add so much
visual interest to a room,
just a little bit goes a long way!

What’s your favorite global look?

weekend inspiration

via House of Fifty

Bar carts are so versatile and pretty,
indoors or outdoors.
Keep a look out at yard sales or Goodwill
for vintage ones.

I got this one last year for $15.

a local home with a nantucket vibe

Here is a sneak peek into one of the houses
that's at the top of my "fun" list.
The colors and nautical influences just
 make me happy!

The bunk room for the grandchildren is so
charming and sleeps four comfortably.

Here’s the sophisticated master bedroom,
with tons of Cape Cod beachy style.

On May 16th, this home,
along with 5 other spectacular homes,
will be open to be viewed on the

We’ll be posting more photos of
this gorgeous home after that!

Stay tuned...

This cobalt blue color and
seashells create instant coastal charm.

a little modern ranch house

This original 1950's California ranch home was recently updated and featured on the Newport Harbor Home Tour

It was one of my favorites on the tour for its simplicity and creativity in combining modern comforts with vintage style. I hope you enjoy the tour...
