pumpkin cottage !

Happy Autumn, friends! Finally, we can feel good about bringing up the “P” word… Pumpkins!

When styling this table, I started with one of my favorite tablecloths from August Table that has soft brown tones, perfect for this look. And added little layers of soft cloth on to that.

The look I’m after is sort of a “chic” pumpkin patch, if that’s a thing.

A collection of faux pumpkins does most of the work here, and I borrowed the Pumpkin Farm sign temporarily from its outside location on the front porch. I just couldn’t resist styling it one more time.

This sign, along with the plates, chargers, pillow, chairs, and pedestal you see in the center of the table are all from Antique Farmhouse.

The dried yarrow garlands are also from Antique Farmhouse and are so versatile. 🍁🍂 I have them draped at the center of the table and also on the window.

Autumn décor holds a dear place in my heart! 🧡

These are just a few fun shots from my new dishroom…

decor files: the joy of September

September rolls in and those pumpkins are becoming a vital part of the decor...

"I would rather sit on a pumpkin and have it all to myself, than be crowded on a velvet cushion.”   --Henry David Thoreau

In my opinion, you can never have enough pumpkins to suit your needs, the more the better!

New table linens complement the essence of the season in the most perfect way.

"By all these lovely tokens, September days are here. With summer’s best of weather and autumn’s best of cheer.”

"Every leaf speaks bliss to me, fluttering from the autumn tree.”

--Emily Brontë

"A time of hot chocolatey mornings, and toasty marshmallow evenings, and, best of all, leaping into leaves.”

--A.A. Milne, Winnie the Pooh

I just love these fun napkins for the holidays! I’ve found so many pretty things from Antique Farmhouse recently, and I’m happy to say I’ve been collaborating with them on some great fall and winter looks.

Here’s a peek at one that was just shared!

This is one of my favorite fall quotes…

"The tints of autumn … a mighty flower garden blossoming under the spell of the enchanter, frost.”

--John Greenleaf Whittier

autumn: a sign of the times

It's the sign of the times! Or at least it's a sign of this season.

That indescribable feeling of fall has arrived, and I'm living for it.

Lately I've been collecting these beauties....

Which of these 4 signs would you pick?

fall colors on repeat!

Yes, that’s right! This time of the years it’s all about “Fall colors on repeat!” I’m loving the softer muted tones this season 🍁🍂

My September table in the breakfast room features some of my favorites old and new…

A few artichokes and hydrangeas from my garden bring a sense of nature to the table.

Fresh willow eucalyptus from my neighbor’s tree helps soften the look of everything, including the collection of pumpkins on the sideboard.

The Pinecone Napkin Rings and the Cheese Board are from Arthur Court and the plates, charger and wicker vase are from new little items I just acquired!

My favorite Pinecone napkin rings and linen napkins.

The gorgeous Veggie Tureen will soon be filled with one of our favorite homemade soups, probably butternut squash!

What’s your favorite fall soup?

Check out some of my favorites here.

My goal was to create a tablescape that captures the essence of autumn’s natural beauty!

You can see all these fabulous photos play out in “reel” time in this short little video right here.
