3 new fall patterns from Pacific & Rose

the Andaluz Collection

This is the time of year that makes me so happy! Yes, it’s practically fall, and you know how much I love fall, but today, I’m really excited about the release of the new Andaluz Collection from Pacific & Rose... and more!

Premiering this week from Pacific & Rose, three brand new tablecloths and matching napkins as well as the best surprise of all, lots and lots of gorgeous new luxurious linen pillows!

First I'd love to show you the tablecloths and napkins. We'll start with the gorgeous Granada pattern...

This pattern on the table is called Granada Blush. A lovely, subdued print for those of us who love just a hint of pink. The colors are subtle and soft and so pretty for the fall and winter seasons ahead.

The Granada print in Blush is a stylized update on the traditional pomegranate motif. Block printed in a subtle blush pink, this color is reminiscent of the buildings in the old city of Jaipur, known as the Pink City.

Hand block-printed on a substantial oxford cotton by traditional artisans with hand-carved teak blocks at their fair-trade workshop in Jaipur, India.

And check out the Granada print in Stone. This stylized update of our traditional pomegranate motif is block printed in tones of stone blue, indigo and olive creating a subtle chorus of cool weather colors.

Summer into fall is one of my favorite times of the year for inspiration. I love the moodiness of the eucalyptus leaves with the bright pop of pink from the coleus with the subtle color palette of the Granada tablecloth and matching napkins.

As you can see above, I am also sharing a peek at two of the newest pillows in the Madrid pattern, Indigo on the left and Stone Blue on the right.

I love that these colors are so versatile, just like a pair of favorite worn-in dungarees. The combination of colors lends itself to matching with practically any color combination.

I love that something as simple as a bundle of eucalyptus can brighten up a whole room.

🌿My neighbor Maureen has a eucalyptus tree in her front yard, and I have permission to snip off fresh leaves whenever I need them. She’s so sweet!

Along with the Cordoba tablecloth and napkins and the two colorways for the Granada pattern, Pacific & Rose is releasing an array of fabulous new linen pillows for fall.

Can you spot the Madrid pillow in Caramel in the photo above?

This Cordoba print with its swirling foliage is block printed in tones of caramel and indigo, a perfect cool weather color palette.

For a little fun, I used the Stoneware Bee napkin ring from Vagabond House and gorgeous Arte Italica dinner plates and Boho placemat from  Carolyn Bender. Doesn't the placemat look perfect with the Cordoba print?

The Cordoba print coordinates beautifully with the linen Madrid pillows in Caramel or indigo.

Who’s ready for some pillow talk? All the new pillows from Pacific & Rose are block-printed on 100% natural linen.

Pictured above are the Alhambra and Malaga pillows.

Next, we have the Madrid in Indigo with the Madrid in Caramel and the Toledo Pillow in Indigo.

Another lovely combination is Madrid in Stone Blue and Toledo in Olive. It’s the perfect look for a beach house or modern cottage.

Here’s a peek at ALL the pillows. Seaside Gallery & Goods  will be carrying the whole new line of tablecloths, napkins and pillows as well as their classic favorites.

You can shop online here, or if you’re local, stop in for a visit in Newport Beach.

Seaside Gallery and Goods is located at 124 Tustin Avenue in Newport Beach, just off of Pacific Coast Highway.

I remember growing up with Corelle plates, and I’ll never forget the nostalgic feel of these glass plates.

And now, I’m happy to share with you a peek at the newest era of Corelle... Stoneware!

I’m loving my new Corelle Stoneware so much! Each piece is uniquely handcrafted, with artisanal effects and subtle variations in color.

I also love how it fits in so well with my other tableware and linens here in the dining room. It’s like a match made in heaven.

the most perfect plates for autumn

Now that September is in full swing, we can really focus on that spectacular season of the year, FALL! 🍁🍂

What better way to show your fall spirit than with the most gorgeous fine bone china dinner plates embellished with the most amazing oak leaf and acorn pattern?

This is the Norwood Acorn pattern from Vagabond House

At this table, I’ve used the salad plates paired with pretty and lacy Finezza dinner plates from Arte Italica and rustic raffia placemats from Serena & Lily.

A few fallen autumn leaves add a bit of whimsy to the table. 🍁🍂

Vintage inspired amber glass goblets really help to light up the table, and adds a bit of sparkle.

I just love how bringing in a few bundles of foraged autumn branches picks up on the lovely realistic leaf pattern of the Norwood china.

Fall is my favorite time for foraging, and this table shows you how easy it can be! Also make note of the beautiful Acorn Flatware also from Vagabond House.

Each individual utensil has got so much detail that it makes it a true pleasure to sit down and eat a meal, all while enjoying these precious pieces.

I almost forgot... You may have also spotted the Norwood Acorn plates in the new Autumn issue of Country Sampler Farmhouse Style. Check out some highlights HERE.

I’ll be back soon with more inspired fall tablescapes, easy autumn décor ideas and heart-warming recipes!

the apple collection for your table

One of my favorite family traditions is making homemade apple jelly, and now I’m really in love with the whole process because I found the perfect Apple Honey Pot from Vagabond House to serve it in.

It even comes with the most adorable apple embossed spoon!

If you’ve never had apple jelly, it’s truly a culinary delight.

The flavor notes are subtle and delicate, and my favorite way to eat it is on a warm croissant, and of course we must have coffee.

Check out the gorgeous matching Apple Pitcher which also doubles as a vase.

How about kicking off your weekend with a refreshing and delicious twist on a classic cocktail: Apple Sangria!

This recipe is actually a “mocktail”, so it can be enjoyed by people of all ages.

This gorgeous pitcher from Vagabond House comes to life when it’s filled with these 4 simple ingredients: Apple Juice, Lemon Juice, Orange Juice, and Sparking White Grape Juice, and then add pretty sliced fruit.

A simple and yummy recipe from Martha Stewart.

🍏 Apple Sangria

· 2 quarts fresh apple juice, plus 1 apple thinly sliced
· 1 cup fresh lemon juice, plus 1 lemon, thinly sliced
· 1 quart fresh orange juice, plus 1 orange, thinly sliced
· 1 bottle (24 ½ ounces) sparkling white grape juice chilled

🍏 In a pitcher, combine the apple and lemon juices immediately after juicing. Stir in orange juice, cover, and chill. Just before serving, add grape juice and sliced fruit.

happy labor day weekend

Is Labor Day the official end of summer? Don’t know about you, but we’re having cool gloomy weather this weekend. That’s why it’s important to brighten up the front and back yards with a few patriotic flower vignettes.

Whatever the weather, Labor Day kind of marks the end of the patriotic summer season of décor that starts with Memorial Day in May. After this weekend it’ll be all about the almighty PUMPKIN!!

So, celebrate the end of the season! Let's bring out the best of the red, white and blue and set something up for yourself and your family to enjoy all weekend long.

Stripes are always so festive and can fit in with any sort of style, so today I’m sharing my favorite tips for setting a fun table at home to honor Labor Day.

Try to stick with white and red flowers. True blue flowers are harder to find, so we tend to go with ones in the dark violet blue color range. The combination of all three colors works great for a patriotic theme.

All of these flowers pictured are from Armstrong Garden. We have two really close locations that I shop at all the time, one in Costa Mesa and another on Coast Highway in Newport Beach.

This lovely linen Amalfi Stripe tablecloth is from Solino Home, and I love the subtle color picked up here with the flags and the rest of the vintage pottery and tableware.

I found this great red metal basket, lined with coco fiber at Armstrong’s too. Don’t you love the added pop of color?

The red Capri striped tablecloth is also from Solino Home and works great indoors or out, any time of the year.

Wishing you a lovely weekend!
