a lemony fresh coastal table

I’m absolutely thrilled to introduce you to my new favorite table setting pieces by Arthur Court. Detailed with the elegant coastal charm of a single sea shell, these placemats, melamine plates and napkin rings are my go-to items this Spring and Summer for setting a pretty table!

A little posy of wildflowers and a bowl full of cheery lemons help bring together this look to interpret my favorite California coastal style.

Here’s where the magic starts to happen... After layering a neutral burlap table runner down the center of the table, these Arthur Court Twisted Seagrass Placemats are the foundation for each lovely place setting.

Next, we have these classic white melamine plates with the same detailed pewter sea shell. These durable and virtually unbreakable plates will take you from the dining room to the backyard for a fun dining experience or to the beach or park for a slightly fancy picnic!

To round off the trifecta of seaside charm, matching napkin rings by Arthur Court are the icing on the cake. I’ve paired the napkin rings with one of my favorite napkins by August Table, and used vintage glassware and wedding silver for the rest of this look.

At the center of the table, a vintage wooden bowl full of lemons adds color and fragrance to the table. A few eucalyptus cuttings and white starfish act as accents to the lemons, and add to the casual California coastal look we’re going for.

As you can see, it’s easy to get that coastal look with a few key pieces that add to the simplicity of setting a table like this.

This look is light, bright and airy. Each of these pieces can be mixed and matched with other tableware, but I just love the look of all three of these items working together!

a cool house down the street...

Had to share this amazing home, just a few blocks from me, designed by super-talented Raili Clasen. You may have seen a few of Raili’s past homes on the Newport Harbor Home Tour. This one's to die for!! Check out the rest of it, now featured for Domino magazine.

By the way, Raili is one of the featured designers on this year’s Newport Harbor Home Tour, and they’ll be showcasing an entirely different home that she designed. The big day is May 13. Check out more details HERE.
