The fabric now known as gingham may
have had its start in Brittany,
France
Whatever the case,
when it was being produced in
Manchester, England in the mid eighteenth century,
the blue and white checked pattern was the most popular.
Gingham has become more and more common over time,
with lots of cultured adapting this pretty pattern, and
we still love the timeless look of gingham today.
