remembering Princess Diana

On what would have been her 50th birthday on July 1st, Time Magazine uncovers 50 rare images of Princess Diana.
Here are some of my favorites...

What I remember most about Princess Diana is her love for her sons Prince William and Prince Harry, and her devotion to others through her work with charities like the National AIDS Trust and the International Campaign to Ban Landmines.  And, of course, her beauty and sense of style are undeniable.  She seems to wear her heart on her sleeve in these images, and I think that's why we are still mesmerized by her.

I love the way William and Harry always show their respect and devotion to their mother, and honor her with continuing to champion her charity work and hosting the Concert for Diana held in 2007.

  9. Lovely tribute to a lovely Lady.

I share her birthdate - July 1st - so I have an extra special place in my heart for her! I love that Mother Teresa knew and loved Princess Di and vice versa - the famous photo of the two of them together always touches my heart!

    Thanks for sharing -

Have a wonderful Friday and a
    very Happy Fourth!

I know - you could just FEEL the love she had for her sons. so touching. She was so amazing and all she wanted was to be happy - sadly I don't think she had a lot of that.
    Charles , didn't help matters.
Have a great holiday weekend and
    have a PRETTY day!

I love the emotion in Diana's face in these images...I know this day must be difficult for her sons, but I'm sure they know how much she was adored by everyone. Sweet post!
