pretty display options for storing jewelry

the earring and ring box
Stella & Dot has just made these fabulous jewelry display pieces available to the public, and they are so pretty!  Made with a khaki linen fabric,  these enclosed white wood boxes have a beaded trim detail and a Stella & Dot plaque on each signature piece.  This box even has a magnetic lid.
the signature large picture frame 18 x 18
The display picture frames come in three different sizes, 8 x 10, 12 x 15, and 18 x 18.  They turn your jewelry into art for your walls!  And now, all your jewelry will be easy to find and tangle-free!  This is such a great idea.
the double bracelet bar
Look at how many bracelets this double bracelet bar holds!  I have just ordered two of these to hold my Stella stuff and some of my vintage pieces.  These display bars are sturdy and so versatile for your bedroom, closet or vanity area.
We got a sneak peek of these display pieces a few weeks ago, when we visited Heather's new closet.  Cynthia brought them over for us to use while finalizing the organization of the closet.
The bracelet bar fits perfectly on the closet shelf.
It's so nice to see all the accessories organized neatly.
For info on ordering these display pieces or any of the fabulous Stella & Dot jewelry or bags, visit Cynthia's Stella and Dot page.

real housewives of new york's jewelry

Have you seen this week's episode of RHoNY?
I'm a little obsessed with Carole, Heather and Kristen's style of wearing layered  jewelry.  They do it so well!

Look at how they layer at least 3-5 necklaces!
{and bracelets.}

It's a great look for summer!

such great mixing and matching

what a fun green dress, Carole!

this look of mixing beads and delicate jewelry on Kristen is my favorite.

here's Heather again sporting lots of layers of silver

Kristen always looks great!

love the turquoise earrings with the red dress!

Sonja seemed a little stressed out with everyone, especially Ramona.

and what about that outfit?!

Do you hide your shoes when you go to a beach  party?

Cute earrings Ramona!
They remind me of these Seychelles earrings I have.

LuAnn's turquoise necklace is pretty, too.
I am so drawn to that color!

Behind the scenes beach party photos from Bravo.

One great thing about the housewives shows,
the previews are almost better than the show itself!
Stay tuned for some pinot tossing next week!

my friday five

This week was Spring Break so we were on stay-cation mode. We visited with friends, did a lot of swimming, drove down to Oceanside for the day and the best part of all, slept in!  Here are my Friday Five for the week, two of which are my Summer must-haves and two others that are decorating inspiration my home. The last one is a bonus!

Isn't this the cutest tote bag for summer?  I just ordered mine this week.  It's perfect for the pool or beach and so cute with it's fun orange and navy blue fish pattern.  AND... all net proceeds from sales of this bag go directly to Autism Awareness via the HollyRod Foundation.  It's a win-win for everyone!  I can't wait 'til Summer!
2. vintage lucite
I have been on the lookout for a fabulous vintage lucite piece like
this table.  I know it would work perfectly in my living room!
{I'm slightly obsessed with this look}

3.  radiant orchid for the nails
Butter's nail polish Molly Coddled is the perfect color for my pedis this summer!  Check that one off the list!

4. creamy white walls
I am updating my walls this Spring with creamy white.

5. mission accompished
We visited the Mission San Luis Rey, in Oceanside. California's 21 missions were built between 1769-1833. They are such fascinating and important part of  California history, and I will have a lot more mission pics on the blog next week including beautiful artifacts, interiors and the mission gardens.

have a fabulous weekend...

byzantine baubles

This jewelry would look great with a sleek summer shift dress or with the rich, deep colors of fall.  It's a simple way to add interest to a simple outfit.
